Dr. Catherine Lee has performed extensively on oboe and English horn as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. She has performed with many orchestras, including the Oregon Symphony, les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and l’orchestre symphonique de Longueuil. Other highlights include reeds, a site-specific work based in bird song (Sound Symposium, 2010) and presenting lecture-recitals at The Embodiment of Authority (Helsinki) and the Performer’s Voice (Singapore). Catherine has published articles in the Double Reed, and her poetry will be included in the book Sounding the body. Catherine is a founding member of the Umbrella Ensemble and holds a BMus and a DMus from McGill University, as well as a MMus and Performer Diploma from Indiana University.
