Roberta Badger-Cain, poetry

Roberta Badger-Cain has been writing poetry (with some publications) and other writings since her teens.  She has a Master’s degree in English, and had an Oregon Arts Commission grant to work as a Writer in the Community in the late 1970s while living on the Oregon Coast.  During that time, she produced and edited a poetry and art calendar for four years with sales in four rural Oregon counties.  She was also a Writer in the Schools guiding students to produce a Literary Magazine, and a Creative Writing teacher for adults.  After moving to Portland in the early 1980s, her career as a researcher – grant writer – evaluator for Education predominated, first working for an education consulting firm and then ending her career doing the same kind of work as a private entrepreneur.  She is a producing poet and writer in retirement as well as a nearly full-time volunteer for her church and other predominantly faith-based organizations.
